Climate change poses a growing threat to biodiversity, leaving many nature reserve managers unsure how to adapt conservation efforts. Traditional planning tools often don’t account for long-term climate impacts like shifting species and extreme weather.
To respond, managers need practical tools, shared learning, and policy support to bring climate adaptation into conservation.
The LIFE #CC #Naturadapt project in France rose to this challenge. It helped managers pilot climate-smart plans, developed user-friendly tools, fostered collaborative learning, and influenced policy. The result is a Europe-wide framework to make protected areas more climate-resilient and ready for the future.
